About George A. Padilla
 
    A licensed structural engineer, George A. Padilla has designed and engineered hundreds of residences and office buildings in southern California since establishing his practice in 1976. Custom homes have been the foundation of George’s work and he has earned a reputation for responsive services, personal attention to his client’s needs, and innovative work. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural engineering from California State University, San Luis Obispo.
 
 
Design Approach
 
    “My work tends to be diverse in that I view each new client and site as a unique opportunity. I strive to create a design that reflects the owners’ taste and fulfills their desires. Good design is the result of a successful collaboration. By listening and observing, I translate my clients’ needs into a beautiful and meaningful reality.
 
The buildings that I design have a sculptural feel to them. They tend to have complex shapes that suggest many moods through the interplay of volume, proportion and light. I want my clients to experience a sense of joy and peace in their living and working environments.”
